J. Michael Patrella

J. Michael Patrella is the Director of Operations at MeaeCare, where he leads operational strategy and execution across markets to support consistent, high-quality in-home care delivery. He focuses on building scalable operating systems that translate company vision into disciplined workflows, performance standards, and infrastructure that enable sustainable growth. His work includes overseeing field operations, workforce optimization, scheduling logistics, and operational performance while partnering closely with clinical, product, and executive leadership to strengthen compliance, documentation integrity, and quality assurance.

Michael brings extensive experience leading operations and customer success within value-based healthcare organizations, including Quest Diagnostics, Keck Medicine of USC, and Kaiser Permanente. Across these roles, he has overseen multi-market service delivery, payer partnerships, in-home assessment programs, diagnostic screening initiatives, and risk adjustment and gaps-in-care closure programs. His background blends operational leadership, financial accountability, and client partnership, with a consistent focus on building disciplined operating systems that improve performance, strengthen health plan relationships, and deliver measurable results. He holds a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from California State University, as well as a post-graduate certificate in Healthcare Executive Leadership from the University of Southern California.

Michael was drawn to MeaeCare by the opportunity to help build operational infrastructure at a pivotal stage of growth while supporting the company’s mission of delivering accessible, high-quality care directly in the home. A decorated United States Marine Corps veteran with overseas deployment experience, he brings a leadership style grounded in discipline, accountability, and calm execution under pressure. Outside of work, he is a long-time martial artist and enjoys teaching others practical self-defense.
